Hardware Reliability Engineer, Wi-Fi (Starlink Product)

SpaceX is pioneering space exploration and utilizes in-house engineering and production to rapidly innovate. The Starlink team seeks a Hardware Reliability Engineer focused on Wi-Fi hardware to ensure performance and reliability of customer devices and support product launches.

Skills

Experience with digital or mixed-signal designs and test equipment
Networking technologies knowledge including Ethernet protocols and Wi-Fi standards
Data analysis skills in Python or R
Troubleshooting experience in electronics hardware and PCB schematics
Understanding of RF communication systems, antenna theory, and Wi-Fi
Knowledge of service provider and home network technologies
Proficiency in SQL and software coding skills
Ability to work in dynamic environments with changing requirements

Responsibilities

Become a Wi-Fi field performance expert for Starlink hardware products
Perform hands-on debugging and root cause analysis of failed phased-array, Wi-Fi routers, and power supply PCBAs
Lead technical investigations under tight deadlines and present findings to executives
Develop and maintain tools and software to assess hardware performance and reliability
Run internal product betas and launches identifying and resolving design issues
Collaborate across engineering, production, test, inventory, quality, supply chain, and customer experience teams
Contribute leadership and creativity to solve complex problems under pressure

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field
