Rehabilitation is responsible for patient screening, evaluating, establishing and carrying out plans of care specific to sub-function clinical disciplines. Also responsible for primary and secondary preventative or interventional methods for sustained health and quality of life. Can operate in a variety of clinical and community-based settings. May have various job responsibilities including clinical, academic, research and community-based roles.
Speech - Language Pathology is responsible for patient screening, diagnosing, establishing and carrying out plans of care across the lifespan. SLPs will address limitation in areas including, but not limited to: speech, language, cognition, voice, laryngectomy, swallowing, autism, and fluency. SLPs may collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers for completion of instrumental diagnostic testing. SLPs practice in a variety of clinical and community-based settings and may have various job responsibilities including clinical, academic, research and community-based roles.
Individual Contributor - Clinical - Work is primarily achieved through individual efforts or by participation on functional or project teams. May coordinate, influence, or review the work of others. May be the primary owner/authority on a given program or process. Requires the application of specialized expertise within a clinical profession to achieve results. Emphasizes in-depth knowledge, problem solving skills, and influencing skills. At more seasoned levels may lead functional or project teams or act as a working supervisor to other clinicians. Typically requires a university degree and clinical license, certification, or training.
Applies working clinical knowledge and experience within own job discipline and broadens capabilities. Understands business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Requires expanded conceptual clinical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities. Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgements and precedents. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others including patients and families in straight forward situations.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ohio Licensure in Speech Pathology required. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
