Here's what you need to succeed in the Senior Buyer role:
  • You are into Print with capital P. You have likely worked in the print or packaging industry. At a minimum, you have worked closely with print and packaging suppliers.
  • A very solid foundation and hands-on experience with print purchasing practices, terminology, and processes. Because you speak their language, you can engage in interactive improvements with suppliers and customers.
  • Strong supplier management and negotiating skills, and experience in supplier compliance management
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with internal and external clients and suppliers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work within a cross-functional team under tight deadlines
  • Lifelong learner with willingness to take on new challenges outside your area of expertise
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Intuitive or Catapult experience is a plus
  • Three years of print or packaging, and a minimum of three to five years of print buying and general purchasing experience.


You will be responsible for:
  • Driving the print procurement strategy and process from vendor qualifications and selection through product delivery
  • Optimize our utilization of suppliers based on capabilities, location, quality
  • In a hands-on manner, project manage quote requests for timely and high-quality results.  This includes issuing quote requests, checking initial quotes for accuracy, and requesting any needed additional information, communicating internally and externally.
  • In a hands-on manner, project manage print orders, coordinating and managing timelines for each project, sending electronic print files to suppliers, and following up on any artwork issues or supplier issues. Preparing and/or understanding detailed print specifications and evaluate proofs for accuracy and quality.
  • Using your expertise and creativity, help our customers improve their quality, cost and sustainability efforts in a consultative role
  • Collaborate internally with other departments, such as Quality and Account Management, and externally with suppliers and artwork providers. Manage all relationships in a collaborative and respectful manner, using sound ethical judgment in conducting business.
