Senior Software Engineer (Data)

Stable Kernel is a technology services firm focused on delivering scalable software solutions for innovative enterprises. They seek a Senior Software Engineer (Data) to develop and optimize data pipelines supporting transformative data initiatives for their clients.

Skills

Extensive Python programming experience.
Designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions.
Custom data extraction from non-SQL sources using Python.
Data quality management and implementation of data quality checks.
Managing CI/CD pipelines for system and data deployments.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines and data models.
Improve pipeline performance and data lake query efficiency.
Apply best practices in data engineering including DataOps and DevOps.
Provide expert review and defend work quality standards.
Design test strategies with involvement in CI/CD and automated testing.
Mentor junior team members in data engineering best practices.
Identify and resolve complex pipeline and data issues.
Collaborate with clients to align data solutions with business goals.
Influence team and organizational roadmaps and strategies.
Take ownership of long-term project planning and execution.
Lead projects, facilitate team learning, and represent the team in client interactions.

Education

Degree in Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent experience.
