C++ Software Engineer, Remote Assist

Stack is innovating in AI and autonomous trucking technology, seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer to develop and maintain the Remote Assist system that supports self-driving trucks by enabling remote human operator intervention.

Skills

Advanced C++ programming and experience with large production codebases.
Expertise in simulation and automated testing.
Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
Proficiency in AV, robotics, or related autonomous vehicle fields.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the onboard Remote Assist subsystem and its integration with mapping, planning, and perception systems.
Collaborate on a multidisciplinary full-stack team working across front end, cloud, and robotics domains.
Contribute to complex testing, simulation, data streaming, and operator training capabilities.
Support cloud and front end development including code reviews and design discussions.
Partner closely with directors and engineers across motion planning and cloud platform teams.
Participate in on-call rotations and travel regularly to Pittsburgh headquarters for testing and collaboration.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
