Associate Buyer - IL

Cresco Labs is a leading public cannabis company dedicated to professionalism and regulatory compliance. They seek an Associate Buyer to support multi-state buying operations, enhancing product assortment and promotions for their Sunnyside retail stores.

Skills

1-2 years retail buying and merchandising experience
Knowledge of cannabis products and industry preferred
Self-directed with ability to work independently
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

Execute weekly/biweekly variable orders from internal and external vendors
Manage purchase order creation for 3rd party vendors ensuring visibility to accounting and stores
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure accurate product assortment and pricing
Report competitive assortment and pricing strategies to leadership
Collaborate with Marketing to ensure effective promotion execution and messaging
Review promotion accuracy prior to launch dates for compliance
Identify assortment gaps based on SKU counts and inventory targets with Merchandise Planners
Update vault capacity targets by store and work with store teams on inventory levels
Maintain frequent communication with store teams on products, pricing, and promotions
Analyze sales and inventory data to understand business performance drivers
Resolve discrepancies in vendor invoices, purchase orders, and manifests
Identify data discrepancies between reporting tools and POS systems

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
