Research Manager

We’re hiring a Research Manager, to be responsible for end-to-end marketing research support across a broad range of clients and specialities (innovations, communications assessment, tracking. etc).  This will include consulting with the client success team on study scope and design and will also include programming, downloading and analyzing data.  Synthesizing findings into actionable client recommendations is a critical part of the role as well.   You will work hand in hand with the broader Suzy team to ensure we are delivering long-term value to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day client relationships and lead research executions with a roster of clients across different verticals.

  • Work with the client-facing team, including sales and client success team members, to provide research expertise and consultation.

  • Execute research projects end-to-end to answer clients’ critical business questions, including research scope and design, questionnaire development, survey programming, fielding, data processing and analysis, reporting, and presentation.

  • Become an expert in the client’s business and industry

  • Compile and analyze data & create PPT charts/presentations to summarize key findings and learnings from clients’ projects. Provide strategic recommendations to support clients' business needs

  • Execute work in a timely, efficient manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent

  • 5-7+ years experience working in market research. Fundamental understanding of quantitative research, survey methodology, and questionnaire design.

  • End-to-end primary research experience, including research scope, survey design, programming, sampling, fielding, data collection and quality assurance, data analysis, reporting, and presentation.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, paired with an ability to distill critical insights from data and explain findings to clients in a simple, actionable manner

  • Working knowledge of market research, data processing, and data analytics, such as Cross Tabulation, Segmentation, Driver Analysis, Brand Equity, etc.

  • Knowledge of market research data processing and analytics software including advanced expertise with Excel

  • Working knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, R, or Q Research Software.

  • Working knowledge of survey programming tools, such as SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, or Alchemer (previously SurveyGizmo)

  • Ability to translate business questions into research questions.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, being proactive, great work ethics, and a positive attitude to embrace challenges are a must.

  • Highly motivated with eagerness to learn, and possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines.

  • Ability to coordinate and communicate efficiently with cross-functional team members.

  • Strong verbal communication skills and experience with client presentations and meetings

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
