Senior+ Product Manager

Swarmia was founded to help software teams continuously improve how they work and build software. Every day, we work closely with some of the best software companies in the world, helping them build happier and more productive software teams. We aim to build the best-designed product in our category, and we have also been praised for our design and user experience (G2 - Easiest to Use, Fall 2024).

As a Senior+ Product Manager, you’ll join one of our cross-functional product teams supported by a Product Designer, an Engineering Team Lead, and a group of Engineers. You’ll be responsible for one of Swarmia’s product areas, improving the existing product, as well as owning research on entirely new opportunities. You’ll work closely with customers, running continuous product discovery, and informing your decisions with both qualitative and quantitative research.

You’ll own your team’s roadmap and long-term vision, while contributing to Swarmia’s product strategy alongside our experienced product team (with an average 8+ years of industry experience), spread across Helsinki, Denver, and New York.

It’s an opportunity to become an early member of a fast-growing company in an evolving space, and influence how thousands of software teams work every day.

You’re a great fit for this role if:

  • You have 5+ years of experience building and delivering high-quality digital products.

  • You have a strong customer focus and empathy.

  • You have a proven track record running product discovery, equally comfortable conducting user interviews and analyzing quantitative data. You understand how much research is enough.

  • You are passionate about quality, with a keen eye for detail, usability, and exceptional user experience.

  • You have collaborated closely with engineers and product designers in previous roles.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill and convey complex topics clearly.

  • You have experience owning the long- and medium-term vision and team roadmap.

  • You know how to measure your product’s success and iterate continuously to improve it.

  • You love working in a fast-paced environment where decisions are made quickly, and new product releases happen as often as every two weeks.

Bonus points:

  • You’ve worked in high-growth SaaS B2B companies in your previous roles

  • You have advanced knowledge of software development principles and the work of software engineers, and you are eager to learn more.

About Swarmia

  • We’re a well-funded company founded in 2019. Our latest funding round was in April 2023. Our team members are working in different cities in Finland and the US.

  • We believe in improving software development so much so that we’ve written a book about it, it’s called Build. We also host a podcast called Engineering Unblocked, featuring guests from companies like Stripe, Webflow, and Sentry.

  • We’re moving fast. We ship new features every week, and write about them in our Changelog.

  • We believe in autonomous teams. Each team owns a product area and all its product context. You’ll participate in customer research from day one, learning directly from the best software companies out there.

  • We work together to solve customer problems — we call it Swarming it — and collaborate cross-functionally to make it happen. If you’re interested in learning more about Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or building a great product, Swarmia is the right place for you.

What we offer

  • A highly experienced and motivated team

  • 70-90 k€ annual salary plus a meaningful amount of equity

  • 10 extra days of paid vacation when you start, on top of the regular paid annual vacation

  • Flexible working arrangements — we work in a flexible hybrid setup, and you can choose between working remotely on most days or from our HQ in central 📍 Helsinki

  • Great work/life balance - we're a startup, but we don’t crunch or work at an unsustainable pace (many of us have kids and other activities beyond work)
