Technical Business Data Analyst

EZFacility is seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Business Analyst to join our Product Development team. Your primary role will be to research and identify opportunities for new features and enhancements for our SaaS application, working closely with the Product Design Team, and internal and external stakeholders. You’ll dive into competitor analysis, market trends, and customer needs to propose innovative solutions that solve real business problems. As a secondary function, you’ll leverage data analysis to validate your research and measure the impact of proposed features, ensuring our product evolves to meet the demands of the sports and fitness industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with the Product Design Team and Product Owner to define technical and business requirements for proposed features, ensuring alignment with EZFacility’s strategic goals.
• Perform competitor analysis to benchmark our application and recommend differentiating capabilities that enhance user experience and value.
• Translate research findings into detailed specifications, wireframes, or prototypes using tools like Miro, facilitating clear communication with development teams.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize feature development based on feasibility, customer impact, and business value.
• Analyze data from internal systems, user behavior, and industry sources to support research, validate hypotheses, and assess ROI or IRR for proposed enhancements.
• Develop and maintain lightweight dashboards or reports (e.g., using Tableau or Power BI) to track feature performance and inform iterative improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, tracking tasks and progress in Azure DevOps, to ensure timely delivery of research-driven outcomes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our product competitive and innovative.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical business analyst role, ideally within SaaS or product development.
• Strong research skills with experience in competitor analysis, market trend evaluation, and feature ideation.
• Proven ability to gather and document technical and business requirements, bridging the gap between stakeholders and development teams.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Miro, Balsamiq, or similar for prototyping and requirements visualization.
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or SQL) to support research and validate findings.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Bonus: Experience in the sports and fitness industry or with SaaS product lifecycles.
• Bonus: Basic understanding of Microsoft frameworks (e.g., .NET) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to align with our tech stack.
