Project Coordinator
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support for a project office;
- Maintain contract records, plans and specifications, and related engineering and administrative records;
- Work under the direction of the Project Coordination team, who reviews work based on daily informal contact, reports, and conferences; and
- Work on multiple projects at same time.
Background and Experience Required
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in coordination of multiple tasks;
- Knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of WMATA’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures;
- Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, arithmetic, and general office practices and procedures;
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in performing duties;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with whom interface is required;
- Ability to maintain complex files and maintain files for multiple task orders; and
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
1099 Rate Range: $70 – $90
Location: WMATA New Carrollton Office Building, 4100 Garden City Dr, Hyattsville, MD 20785 (Full-Time, 18 months (subject to renewal) - Hybrid, 2 days a week)
Work Hours: The normal work hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
