  • Guiding the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of these machines through their full lifecycle and worldwide deployment

  • Collaborating with software, electrical, and materials engineers inside and outside the company to ensure these machines work

  • Collaborating with industry experts inside and outside the company to ensure these machines meet the customers’ needs

  • In-house rapid prototyping including milling, turning, 3D printing, and more, at mesoscale and microscale

Desired Skills & Experience (the more, the better, but not expected to have all)

  • Substantial experience as a mechanical engineer:

    • Experience with tight tolerance manufacturing

  • Relevant industry experience:

    • Textile production

    • Industrial automation

    • Medical devices or wearable machines

    • Micro-machines

    • Robotics

  • Professional attitude:

    • Collaborative and strong team spirit a must

    • Low ego and willingness to learn through giving and receiving feedback also a must

Benefits of Working with Us:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits; 100% premiums covered

  • Short and Long Term Disability

  • 401(k)

  • Meaningful equity

  • 12 company holidays and unlimited PTO (enforced minimum of 15 days and more is encouraged)

Where You’ll Work:

You’ll have flexibility in your work from day to day but we expect the majority of your time to be in our lab and microfactory which will be moving to Somerville in March 2025. Our work is hands-on and close collaboration with physical processes is an essential part of our success. We have excellent access to public transportation and parking.

Don’t meet every single requirement?

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We’re dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align with every part of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways.
