Internship - Application Integration Engineer

Torc is a pioneer in autonomous vehicle technology, focused on developing software for automated trucks as part of the Daimler family. They are seeking an Application Integration Engineer Intern to support their fleet operations team by integrating APIs and analyzing pre-production automated driving system data, contributing to the safety and efficiency of their autonomous trucks.

Skills

Proficiency in Python for web API integrations
Experience with Git and GitHub
Writing unit and integration tests using standard Python frameworks
Time management and task prioritization
Strong problem-solving skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

Participate in cross-functional discussions and presentations with engineers and stakeholders
Design and implement integrations between third-party services using REST APIs
Write code to automate data sharing across services and increase visibility of critical data
Combine data from various services for preventative and predictive maintenance
Collaborate with engineers to ensure safe, secure, and modern development practices
Test integrations to guarantee robustness and prevent fleet downtime or delayed maintenance

Education

High school level success in software engineering courses or equivalent extracurricular experience
