Senior Principal Engineer, Product Cybersecurity (CCS)

Key/Primary Responsibilities

• Technical leadership in cloud software development, in support of Toyota’s Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electrified (CASE) mobility solutions and digital services.

• Creation & facilitation of cloud architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, & cybersecurity; across a portfolio of programs.

• Hands-on software development in complex domains, meanwhile, troubleshooting & resolve technical challenges with the team.

• Ensure all cloud deployments meet quality & cybersecurity standards.

• Setup monitoring & alerting systems for infrastructure & applications.

• Execute the roles and responsibilities of an individual contributor across multiple projects and teams independently with very little oversight required.

• Liaise with line of business leaders and general other risk functions to deliver program needs within business units.

• 8+ years of experience developing software that runs in the cloud with an emphasis on hands-on development (Go), CI/CD, integration with AWS SDKs & CLI, & technical leadership experience.

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as VPC, IAM policies, ALB\NLB, Route53, CloudFront, SNS\SQS, Lambda, API gateway, EKS, ECR, etc.

• Proficient with containerization technologies with EKS and ECS, life-cycle management, ingress\egress, etc.

• Proficient in (Infrastructure-as-Code) IaC coding languages such as Terragrunt and Terraform.

• Networking: Solid understanding of networking principles, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Security: Knowledge of best practices in network security, data protection, and compliance frameworks

Added Bonus:

• OSCP, SANS/GIAC, CISSP, or other related/equivalent certifications.

• Experience with compliance regulations/laws, security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, NIST, HIPAA, ISO, COBIT, OWASP, ITIL, etc.). 

• Experience with one or more of the following industries: law enforcement, defense, intelligence community, automotive, manufacturing, software, 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience 

• Fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) for business and technical discussions.
