DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Reston, VA or Charleston, SC (Onsite)
Clearance: TS/SCI required
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Rate: $90–$105/hr (W2)
Our client is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to lead secure software deployment across federal systems. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to harden infrastructure, automate CI/CD, and align with compliance frameworks like RMF — all while operating in a classified DoD environment.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
Deploy and monitor services in AWS
Integrate observability tools like Elastic and Apache NiFi
Align code delivery with RMF and DoD compliance
Work closely with dev, infra, and security teams to maintain secure SDLC
Lead technical direction and help formalize DevSecOps toolkits and standards
Must-Haves:
10–15 years in secure software or DevSecOps roles within DoD
Deep GitLab experience (CI/CD, code scanning, repo management)
Strong AWS background (deployment, IAM, monitoring)
Familiarity with Apache NiFi and Elastic Stack
IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent)
AWS Security Specialty cert (SCS-C02)
Solid grasp of RMF and security automation
Nice to Have:
Intelligence Community experience
Splunk Certified Admin
Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools
Familiarity with Zero Trust and secure enclave frameworks
