Job Overview:
The Director of Oracle Database Engineering will lead a team responsible for the design, build, and operation of cloud database solutions for our client. This role involves collaborating with infrastructure and development teams to support the transition from private to public cloud, enhancing self-service capabilities, and ensuring audit and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering and support teams in modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with platform and application development teams.

• Improve and mature Oracle distributed database services.

• Manage audit and regulatory reviews for cloud databases.

• Lead automation initiatives for cloud database solutions.

• Provide strong people leadership to empower and engage the team.
  

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in database engineering and support.

• Proven expertise in Oracle technologies in both private and public cloud environments.

• Experience with cloud database technology, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab), and Agile methodology.

• Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate across teams to drive innovation.
