Total headcount averages 230 people, with the manufacturing sites and delivery specialists located in Beaumont, TX (~55 people), Orange, TX (~60 people), New Philadelphia, OH (~40 people), Addison, IL (~25 people), Bakersfield, CA (~15 people), Trevose, PA (~15 people), and Edmonton, Canada (~20 people).
To be well positioned for this role, you’ll need to understand how to lead and optimize manufacturing operations at a plant producing chemicals (our chemicals are used for industrial water treatment applications) and servicing the North American region. As the North American CSM (Chemicals Solutions and Monitoring) Manufacturing Director, you will be responsible for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Key Responsibilities:
● Ensure all locations comply with environmental, health and safety regulations. Drive a strong and health safety culture that engages employees to effectively decrease injury rate.
● Ensure Customer Quality expectations are met and On Time Delivery performance is exceeded at each site.
● Review the commercial and production demands, with our S&OP and Procurement teams, to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, planning and storage optimizations, and staffing models.
● Develop, monitor, and report on operating costs relative to budget. Cost manage to deliver cost competitive and appropriate variable and fixed Cost of Manufacture targets to maximize the value for key stakeholders. Communicate circumstances that may cause significant budget overruns and identify ways to lesson impact on
overall budget.
● Develop 5-year capital expenditures plans, executing on annual approved budget to achieve the sites strategy.
● Inspire and direct manufacturing site leadership to deliver operational excellence, overseeing the implementation of continuous improvements to processes that increase productivity, reliability, capacity and profitability, and support strategic growth plans of the business. Exceed Variable Cost Productivity annual targets, driving projects like batch size and cycle time optimization, bulk storage optimization, utilities consumption and waste reduction, etc. Collaborate with our S&OP and Procurement teams on Direct Materials Productivity projects.
● Formulates and implements standardized manufacturing policies and programs across our sites. Identify, monitor, and improve key performance indicators within span of control.
● Partner with Plant Managers and Human Resources to continually evaluate opportunities to enhance and improve teamwork, especially within the plant leadership teams at each location. Communicate clear expectations to direct reports and hold them accountable to those expectations. Contribute to and help build a
culture where employees are engaged and excited to come to work. Assist the Plant Managers in their collaboration with our unionized workforce.
Core Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college. Other engineering and scientific degrees with chemical manufacturing experience may be considered.
● 8+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with proven plant / production leadership experience.
● Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management, EPA Risk Management Program, DHS programs preferred.
● Multi-plant (regional) management experience preferred.
● Up to 50% travel required.

● Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience identifying and developing leaders.
● Analytical ability with experience performing data analysis and developing operation metrics and strategies.
● Experience with developing budgets and writing business plans.
● Knowledgeable in cost reduction and implementing best practices.
● Manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
