Associate, Real Estate Acquisitions and Development

At Vessel, we are committed to addressing one of the world’s most pressing challenges—the global housing crisis. In 2024, we introduced the V1, a revolutionary solution that redefines affordable living. Beautifully designed, brilliantly engineered, sustainable, and built with health in mind, the V1 makes high-quality housing accessible to those who earn too much for subsidized housing but too little for market-rate options. We are backed by leading venture capitalists, such as Mosaic Ventures, and by the nation's preeminent homebuilder, Lennar, Inc.

Vessel is growing rapidly, with scores of projects in planning, and we’re looking for an exceptional Associate, Real Estate Acquisitions & Development to join our team. From market analysis to deal structuring and project delivery, you’ll partner with senior leadership to bring visionary housing solutions to life.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze, structure, and execute real estate acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the real estate development process, from site selection and acquisition through design, permitting, construction, and project delivery
  • Conduct comprehensive site analyses, including zoning and regulatory reviews, market feasibility studies, and financial modeling
  • Work closely with internal teams, including design, engineering, and operations, as well as external consultants, architects, contractors, and local government agencies
  • Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to evaluate opportunities and support decision-making

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning, finance, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in real estate development, real estate private equity, or real estate financing.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategies with precision and focus
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and project management tools
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify and communicate risk
  • High degree of ownership, initiative, and a willingness to dive deep into details while maintaining focus on the big picture
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that values agility and execution
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Benefits
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Health Plans (Medical, Dental, and Vision), including HSA/FSA options
  • Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance, plus Critical Illness and Accident Insurance
  • Adoption Assistance, Caregiver Support, and Financial Assistance through Employee Support Programs
  • Team-building events and activities, including social hours and celebrations
  • Commuter Benefits

$140,000 - $160,000 a year

At Vessel, you’ll be part of something bigger than a company—you’ll be part of a movement. If you’re looking for a role that’s both challenging and rewarding, with the opportunity to work alongside a visionary leader in a transformative industry, we’d love to hear from you.
