Algorithms Researcher
Via is using technology to transform transportation around the world and is seeking an Algorithms Researcher to join their team of experts in developing optimization algorithms for automated dispatch systems.
Skills
- Strong knowledge in algorithms, specifically graph theory and combinatorial optimization
- Experience in Python programming
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Mathematically model competing demands on Via's transportation system
- Develop online decision-making systems for system utilization
- Create algorithms for efficient and scalable decision-making
- Analyze demand, traffic, and fleet performance to inform algorithm development
Education
- M.Sc. or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
