Join us on our mission to reverse diabetes in 100 million people.Role and ImpactAs a designer of our dynamic team, you'll be able to design various products, ranging from clinical care delivery tools to user-facing mobile applications. Your creativity and innovation will touch the lives of our members directly, contributing to a broader influence on healthcare practices. Our collaborative team values accountability and a holistic approach to user experience. You'll enjoy considerable influence within the organization beyond your area of focus by leading co-creative workshops, design sprints, and design initiatives. Day-to-day, you'll tackle specific challenges, working closely within a squad to collaborate with a product manager and a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions through iterative design and development.Responsibilities• Conduct comprehensive user research to gain deep insights into the needs and behaviors of our members and clinicians.• Develop user-centric solutions that balance user needs, business objectives, and industry best practices and constraints.• Collaborate with product managers to leverage both qualitative and quantitative data for insights.• Facilitate co-creation workshops with stakeholders to guide user-centric decision-making.• Own the end-to-end design process, from concept to execution, including wireframes, user flows, and visual design, utilizing our design system for consistency.• Test and iterate designs rapidly to refine user experiences.• Contribute to the evolution of our design practices, promoting a culture of learning and mentorship within the team.Your First 90 Days• Integrate with our team and cross-functional partners to understand Virta's ecosystem.• Delve into Virta's programs, services, and digital offerings to grasp their full scope.• Analyze current user journeys and research to identify member needs and opportunities.• Master our design system, tools, and processes.• Participate actively in UX and squad meetings, bringing fresh perspectives to enhance our design approach.• Collaborate on design and development of a key feature.• Initiate a design project that will drive innovation within Virta this year.What You'll Bring• +7 years of experience in Product Design, with a rich portfolio demonstrating your journey from concept through to final design.• Expertise in design tools like Figma, and a strong foundation in user research and ideating methodologies.• Independence in managing projects, with problem-solving and creative thinking.• A collaborative spirit, capable of working closely with engineering teams and understanding technical constraints.• Strategic thinking and effective communication skills to advocate for user-centric design across all levels of the organization.• A Strong sense of aesthetics, and capable of enhancing UX with UI visual design and motion best practices.• Exceptional storytelling ability, comfortable in presenting ideas and designs to various stakeholders, including Senior Management.• A preference for in-house roles, ideally with experience in the healthcare sector, is seen as a bonus.Values-driven cultureVirta’s company values drive our culture, so you’ll do well if:• You put people first and take care of yourself, your peers, and our patients equally• You have a strong sense of ownership and take initiative while empowering others to do the same• You prioritize positive impact over busy work• You have no ego and understand that everyone has something to bring to the table regardless of experience• You appreciate transparency and promote trust and empowerment through open access of information• You are evidence-based and prioritize data and science over seniority or dogma• You take risks and rapidly iterateAs part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Security and privacy training will be provided.Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
