Job Description

The Director, Value Added Services, GTM & Commercialization will partner closely with the VAS product businesses units, regional GTM leads and solutions teams to govern and enable the process of bringing new products and services to market. This role focuses on ensuring products are aligned to client needs, ready for distribution to customers, and enabled to be sold and activated. The Director will work closely with regional sales and product leaders to support and enable those teams for success, as well as with other teams within the VAS Strategy and Commercial Operations organization.

This role sits at the intersection of multiple product organizations and all regions of Visa, requiring organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience launching products to clients in a B2B environment, with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

This is a unique opportunity to drive product delivery excellence within Visa’s business while collaborating with key members of the Product Organization on a regular basis. This role reports to the Senior Director, VAS Commercialization.

Essential Functions

  • Manages commercialization of VAS products through the product and delivery lifecycle, aligns to the standards and processes set by global product team
  • Supports adherence to the governance steps for product/solution GTM, ensuring that we have consistent standards regarding market readiness and availability- across all products and regions- and ensures that functions such as sales and CS are 'ready'
  • Runs top-line global GTM initiatives, managing reporting and coordination with both regional GTM and global stakeholders to ensure success
  • Enables the hub structure of the Global GTM team for GTM teams in the regions- provides central enablement for sales enablement, marketing and support- operating across these critical teams to ensure markets have solutions with proper infrastructure to be marketed and sold

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.  The location for this role will be our Austin TX offices  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

  • Strong command of financial, market, and consumer data with the ability to grasp complex and detailed issues
  • Commercially astute with experience working in a fast-paced, changing global matrix organization
  • Relationship Building:
  • An intellectually curious and self-assured but humble leader with a high degree of compassion, able to engage, enable, and influence others.
  • Ability to build deep relationships at senior levels within the organization and navigate complex structures.
  • High EQ who can act as a sounding board and a representative to the organization on the CPO’s behalf.

  • Excellent project management and program management skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adjust to multiple tasks/demands and constantly shifting priorities under tight deadlines and time constraints
  • A hands-on approach to all activities with an unwavering passion for excellence that is contagious

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 152,200.00 to 210,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
