Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
CEMEA Consulting Practice applies deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as marketing, strategic growth, profitability, digital payments and risk.
Position Summary
The Visa Consulting & Analytics Analyst will undertake consulting engagements for Visa clients for Georgia and Armenia markets, enabling digital growth and improved profitability in clients’ credit and debit payment card business.
Potential projects could include portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product, channels and key digital enablement initiatives, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices, and optimizing client customer experience and supporting processes.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Using VISA and external data, analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for Consulting assignments with top Clients.
2. In coordination with Country Managers and Account Executives, develop Country plans for Consulting activity with top Clients, securing funds from partnership agreements to support Consulting projects where such agreements exist.
3. Develop project pitches and in coordination with Account Executives, secure new Consulting assignments with clients, as well as re-engagements opportunities via a consultative sales approach in assigned markets.
4. Deliver Consulting projects. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants' supervision and project delivery). Work closely with other VISA groups, including Product, Marketing etc., to ensure a seamless client Consulting experience in the countries of focus.
5. Develop and deliver client training programs and impart best practices knowledge sharing to VISA clients.
6. Where appropriate, work with designated practice areas global Consulting groups to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other services and realize consulting efficiency between CEMEA and other regions.
7. Deliver and manage a network of external Consultants for the projects that require external consultant support and: (a) Maintain excellent liaison and supervision of external consultants' deliveries, (b) Assist in selecting, recruiting, inducting and training new external consulting firms, (c) Work with other teams and external consultants to develop new and improved tools and techniques for future consulting activities.
8. Manage the VISA Consulting and Analytics budget and resources to perform all required duties.
9. Liaise with VISA functional teams (Finance, Audit, Legal, Tax, Sourcing) to define and implement processes to optimize the daily engagement of vendors and the relationships with clients.
10. Manage sales pipeline, execute on revenue targets agreed.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience dealing with business problems in relevant fields such as analytics, business consulting, or other data-driven functions
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, etc.
• Post graduate degree preferred
• Prior experience in consulting / advisory services (Top 3/Big 4/Boutiques) is a very strong advantage
• Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills
• Exceptional structuring analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into key strategic insights.
• Analytics experience in credit risk modelling is preferred but not required
• Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts both internal to Visa and with the client
• Experienced project management skills, both from an individual perspective but also with respect to managing team and client expectations and deliverables.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt
• A background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus
• An affinity for payments technology and its future
• Willingness to travel domestic and international assignments
• Fluency in English and Armenian/Russian.
