Controller

Vulcan Elements is a pioneering manufacturer focused on domestic production of rare-earth permanent magnets, supporting critical sectors like defense and automotive. They seek a Controller to lead financial operations and support strategic planning as the company scales.

Skills

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
Analytical skills with attention to detail
Effective leadership and communication abilities
Knowledge of ERP systems (preferred)
Experience with government contracting (preferred)

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements compliant with GAAP
Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and monitor financial performance metrics
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and growth initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification preferred
