Position Summary

Coordinates the daily operations of faculty development for the School’s Office for Faculty Affairs (OFRA), and provides administrative support for all faculty development related needs. Provides coordination and support for interim, annual and long-range strategic faculty development initiatives and planning for faculty development activities. This position handles the coordination of faculty information and tracking for development purposes, communication with faculty regarding development needs and opportunities and the coordination of faculty development resources and activities.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinates the day-to-day faculty development tasks for the School of Public Health Faculty Affairs office, including the coordination and implementation of all faculty development efforts.

  • Coordinates the development and dissemination of faculty development activities and resources to SPH faculty including: workshops, training programs, leadership development opportunities, and faculty mentorship.
  • Tracks faculty development activities and engagement of SPH faculty and assists in the development of reporting regarding faculty development for the FRC and SPH leadership.
  • Professionally communicates with faculty as needed regarding faculty development opportunities and updates. Corresponds with faculty through email communication for scheduling purposes and coordinates faculty development activities with the School of Public Health.
  • Provides support for planning and coordination of faculty development activities and resources and serves as a liaison for the School of Public Health during faculty development events. Coordinates the calendar of the Faculty Affairs Office to ensure that faculty development activities are scheduled in coordination with calendars of SPH leadership and other SPH and university events and needs.
  • Tracks costs associated with faculty development expenses and enters these expenses in the WorkDay accounting system and files all associated paperwork. Tracks expenses associated with faculty development and any reimbursement needed.

Coordinates the development and implementation of a data management platform and process for faculty development activities and faculty information. 

  • Coordination of faculty development information on Interfolio and Box platforms.
  • Assists the Director of Faculty Affairs with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for faculty development activities.
  • Tracks faculty development tasks in project management software to allow for standardized reporting on projects, timelines and next steps.

Salary Range

$23.37 - $36.19 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
