Job Summary:

Edge Electric is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives and expand our footprint in the electrical services industry. This high-visibility leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, and consistently drive revenue growth.

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in:

  • Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership to define and execute business development strategies targeting growth in new and existing markets.
  • Lead Generation & Market Expansion: Research market trends, identify opportunities, and secure new business across commercial and industrial electrical sectors.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with contractors, developers, and suppliers to align client needs with Edge Electric’s expertise.
  • Sales Leadership: Manage the sales process, collaborating with the Estimating team to create proposals that drive profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent Edge Electric at events, trade shows, and conferences to build professional networks and generate leads.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide leadership with insights into business activities, sales performance, and market opportunities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in business development or electrical services are a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in the construction, electrical, or related industries.
  • 3+ years in a Business Development leadership role with a proven record of surpassing sales targets.
  • Direct experience in selling electrical services or working with contractors in Austin is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
