Senior Software Engineer, Cloud, Simulation

Wayve is a leader in Embodied AI technology focused on autonomous driving. The company seeks a Senior Software Engineer to evolve its high-fidelity simulation platform that combines classical simulation with machine learning, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver scalable, accurate simulations to advance autonomy.

Skills

Proficiency in Python development.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Flyte.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes at the user level.
Strong systems and data-oriented software engineering design skills.
Knowledge of software performance optimization and design trade-offs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Own key performance indicators related to simulator cost, throughput, and latency.
Lead technical discussions and guide the technical roadmap for simulation platform components.
Integrate robotic emulators and machine-learned graphics subsystems into the simulation platform.
Collaborate with robotics, research, platform, and data teams to meet end-user simulation needs.
Implement production-quality software primarily using Python.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
