People Experience Associate

The Wikimedia Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to free knowledge and operates Wikipedia. They are seeking a People Experience Associate to provide support and liaison functions for staff outside the United States, focusing on HR operations with Employer of Records and ensuring compliance with policies.

Skills

2+ years experience in human resources or related field.
Strong ethics, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets including pivot tables and formulas.
Experience with HR data systems and maintaining/updating related information.
Knowledge of HR best practices, compliance with policies and local laws.

Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between Wikimedia Foundation and Employer of Records (EOR) for global staff-related matters.
Manage onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
Respond and resolve staff inquiries independently, prioritizing based on urgency.
Review and process staff changes accurately to update systems and records.
Audit monthly invoicing, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate approvals with finance and EOR.
Support additional related projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
