This role will implement and maintain database management systems to ensure data integrity and security. Balance various tasks of moderate complexity requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria are keys to success!Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities/Expectations:• Installs, configures, and maintains database management software while adhering to security, performance, and capacity planning standards• Implements and manages backup, recovery processes, and basic performance tuning to ensure data protection and system optimization• Collaborates with infrastructure and application development teams to resolve resource bottlenecks, design secure database structures, and migrate changes through the development lifecycle• Provides database administration support for Cloud and DBaaS (Database as a Service) environments, including data migrations for refreshing test environments and exporting data to vendors as needed• Monitors and remediates database related vulnerabilities, password standards, and security issues as guided by our security policies• Other duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:• Required: High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 - 2 years related experience• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or technical certification with a minimum of two (2) years' related experienceOther Requirements:• Required: Hands-on experience administering a database• Preferred: Technical proficiency in programming and scripting is preferred• Critical thinking skills• Understanding of database design• Participate in an on-call rotation• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety is the utmost priority• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skillsAbout Tulsa:Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S.Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
