Core Job Responsibilities:
Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
Set-up, including the following:
Setting/resetting room in a timely manner according to BEO, Spec Sheet and/or management instruction.
Collecting, moving and/or removing tables, chairs, podiums, flipcharts and other items needed in the room.
Move and place heavy props for functions (i.e. picket fences, wagon wheels, lattice screens, etc.)
Setting/resetting table pads, tablecloths and skirting correctly.
Setting misc. items (pens, pads, mints, glassware, etc.).
Cleaning Banquet areas. When cleaning Banquet rooms, place all trash from tables into the appropriate receptacles and collect and transport used linen to the designated area for pick-up.
Assist other Banquet personnel as needed according to established standards and procedures.
Adhere to policies and procedures and health laws.
Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
Relay all guest compliments and complaints to the manager on duty.
Inform manager/supervisor/lead of items needing ordered or fixed.
Deliver supplies ordered from the storeroom to the appropriate location.
Keep all service access areas are clean and organized.
Assist with guest’s special needs, including transporting boxes, etc.
Delivering and returning guest’s packages from receiving when mail room personnel are unavailable.
Keep Banquet equipment clean.
Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
Assist other departments such as PAD, Engineering, Encore at times of need or when they’re not available.
Complete special projects as requested by banquet management.
Qualifications
Must be 21 or older.
Valid SNHD Health Card Required.
May be subject to smoking areas and fog machines.
Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written.
Previous experience in banquet set-up preferred but not required.
Requires the ability to work consistently with tables and chairs and communicate with others within a team environment.
Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking and standing.
Candidate must be available to work mornings or evenings as well as weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands:
·Work is performed in a hotel/resort setting.
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
May be exposed to smoke
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
Eye/hand coordination.
Use of standard office equipment.
Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
May be required to work evening, weekends, and holiday shifts.
