Provide active assistance in transforming the accounting data into our quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements under IFRS and/or HGB
Support the external audit of the ZEAL Group and co-ordinate other audits as appropriate.
Continuously review the effectiveness of complex end -to-end processes by ensuring that all financial reporting risks are addressed.
Review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations as part of our regular accounting processes and ensure adequate, relevant and timely documentation as well as challenge the assumptions used.
Prepare and review documentation in relation to reporting treatment and accounting matters.
Support the ongoing improvement of our internal control structure and finance processes and, where necessary, manage the resolution of financial control issues.
Partner with other finance teams for the implementation of IFRS and/or HGB accounting changes.
Provide financial analysis and act as sparring partner to other teams to meet company focused goals, such as finance transformation strategies
Liaise with external service providers, auditors and tax advisors
You have 3+ years of audit experience in a Big4 or Next10 accounting firm
You have a good knowledge in group accounting according to IFRS and in the German commercial code (HGB)
You have experience in complex systems and processes, ideally in an e-commerce setting.
You love analyzing numbers and data as much as you love interacting with people
You work very independently, reliably and conscientiously.
You master MS Office. Knowledge of Business Central,Tagetik and/or Lucanet is a plus.
You enjoy working in a dynamic corporate environment with different cultures and can also communicate well in English and German
This position is based in Hamburg but allows for 2-3 days of homeoffice per week
