After 4 years of unemployment, I got a job through a referral. Don't feel proud
I know getting a job through a referral is pretty common, but I just feel ashamed and like I don’t deserve it. My new job starts in a week, but I’m already having sleepless nights with anxiety.
Am I overthinking this? What do I do to not come across as a loser on my first day? It's a small startup with like 10 people, and I feel like gossip will spread fast.
