Honestly… kinda depends.
They’re not the guaranteed shortcut they used to be. Market’s weird, AI’s replacing stuff, and bootcamps are everywhere now—some good, some just expensive hype.
If you’re still figuring out whether you want to do eng, data, or PM, maybe especially if you have to drop 9k or something. Try free stuff (CS50, freeCodeCamp, Reforge for PM), build one lil project in each, and see what feels right.
Sometimes it’s not about spending more. it’s just about starting smarter. Bootcamps help, but they’re not magic. Just step one.
I did one a few yrs ago (coding) & it helped but I had to do extra self-learning. Don’t expect to just finish & get hired instantly.
If your already a program associate, you might be able to pivot into PM without a bootcamp. Maybe look into certs instead? PMP, Scrum, etc.
I know ppl who got jobs thru bootcamps but they had to grind hard after. It’s not a golden ticket, but if you're willing to network & apply like crazy, could be worth it.
Bootcamps used to be THE thing but now it’s like... oversaturated. Some are still good but u gotta research heavy bc a lot just want ur money 💀
feeling stuck, saw a bunch of bootcamps pop up while i was searching but i feel like they were hot a few years ago and people don't take them seriously any more. Are any bootcamp programs still legit? also cant decide btw things like engineering, data science, or PM. currently I work as a program associate so not exactly technical
