got a recruiter telling me to shave for the interview 😅

Ask yourself: Would you even wanna work somewhere that’s THAT picky about appearance? Respect should go both ways
tbh this gives “old school corporate culture” vibes. like who’s still out here making facial hair a thing in 2025???
You’re right to question it. Sounds like that recruiter just has a personal bias, not a legit professional concern
I wouldn’t shave unless it’s company policy and actually impacts your role. if they’re this pressed about a beard, that’s a red flag
if this is how they act before you're even hire. kinda says a lot. imagine the micro-managing once you're actually on the team
had a quick video call w/ him today, and even though it was informal, he kept bringing up the beard. it’s not even big! been keeping it trimmed and neat for YEARS
I’ve worked public-facing roles before and never had anyone say a thing. feels more like his personal preference than a real issue. I like the job, but idk if it’s worth shaving over. anyone else deal with this?
