Red Flags
Hiring freeze killed my offer after 8 interviews. I feel sick
Had a "quick check-in" on my calendar today. Showed up and HR was already there. Two weeks of severance, laptop turned in, and that was it.
The funny part is that I had already finished my final interview and was just waiting on an offer. I was stressing about how to quit without making it awkward. Looks like the universe handled it for me. Now I get a little break while starting fresh. Hoping everything moves quickly with the new company. Reminder to everyone: no job is ever truly safe. Always keep your resume ready and keep networking.
UPDATE: Got the offer. It is way better than what I was making before. Higher salary, better benefits, fully remote. Honestly feels like everything worked out better than I could have planned.
