Should I leave Google for Meta (E4 to E4)?

I’d honestly weigh it like this: better money now + maybe better growth later vs. better lifestyle now + slower career moves. what’s more important right now?
Meta can be intense, but if you wanna break into ML or high-scale infra stuff, they do offer good pathways for that. Google tends to move slower on internal moves
$400k first year is hard to ignore, but culture shock is real. if your current team’s chill and you’ve got a good manager, that’s worth something too
I’m at Google right now (E4 backend dev), and I just got an offer from Meta. Same level, similar work, but with a bump in comp.
First year would be about 400k TC, then 340–350k after. I’ve heard a lot of red flags about Meta’s culture and layoffs though, which makes me hesitate. Google has a more relaxed culture and a great manager. That said, I’m also feeling a bit stuck and want to eventually move into ML or distributed systems.
Is it worth taking the risk?
