POSITION OVERVIEW
  • The Packaging Associate is responsible for the processing and packaging of cannabis products in preparation for distribution to retail sites. This includes the hand filling of pre-rolled joints and flower containers, as well as the use of automated and non-automated packaging machines and tools to prepare our products for purchase. Priorities include working with industrial machinery and equipment, packaging, labeling, sorting, and product tracking while following all compliance and workplace safety measures. This is a hands-on production position where teamwork and a passion for product quality are crucial.

  • Schedule is Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm


COMPENSATION
  • Starting hourly wage, $17/hourly

  • Someone who is looking to break into the cannabis industry and learn from the ground up. 
  • Someone who enjoys working with their hands and has hand-eye coordination skill. Any sort of mechanical background is a plus.  
  • A self-motivated team player who asks questions and collaborates and is a problem solver. 
  • Has a keen eye for details and is adaptable. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process, organize, package, and label cannabis products in preparation for distribution to retail sites including flower and edibles. 
  • Monitor, measure, and record precise product weight and total units produced.   
  • Measure and document any potential product waste accurately.  
  • Learn, interact, and troubleshoot various industrial machinery and equipment that assists in the automated packaging process. 
  • Thoroughly cleans machinery, hand tools, containers, and production equipment in accordance with state regulations. 
  • Maintain quality assurance of all packaged products in accordance with local and state regulations.  
  • Partner with other departments to maintain efficiency and productivity throughout the production cycle.  
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This is a hands-on, cannabis packaging position which involves the handling of cannabis products and packaged goods.  
  • You will be working in an indoor production, warehouse-like environment.  
  • Rooms are industrially lit and feature heavy machinery sounds at times.  
  • Kneeling, squatting, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, walking, pivoting, standing (all expected activities) 
  • Plant pollen is present on surfaces and in the air, extraction fumes may also be present. 

*NOTE: The facility contains confined spaces that may only be accessible by ascending/descending stairwells while traveling throughout building. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing and meeting completion deadlines 
  • Basic Math, Organizational, and Computer Skills 
  • Quick counting capabilities 
  • Problem identification and able to clearly report progress, status, and observations 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify problems with machinery and in processes  
  • Proactive attention to cleaning and sanitation 
  • Self-starter who can take instructions, follow directions, and work independently/with colleagues 
  • Strong communicator, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, problem-solver, adaptable 


QUALIFICATIONS
  • 21+ and currently residing in the USA  
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED 
  • Mechanic/Production Experience, 1+ years (preferred) 
  • Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire)
