Wiring Harness Technician

As a Wiring Harness Technician, your main responsibilities will include thoroughly organizing and maintaining lab equipment, tools, and inventory of wiring harness components. You'll be tasked with modifying existing wiring harnesses as directed by the wiring engineer, building prototype wiring solutions, and checking harnesses for any supplier-related changes. Troubleshooting wiring problems and authoring problem reports for identified defects will also form a crucial part of your role.

To qualify for the Wiring Harness Technician position, candidates are expected to have over 5 years of experience in wiring design, manufacturing, or repair. An associate engineering degree or related professional trade education is preferred. Familiarity with wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools as well as commercial vehicle or automotive electrical troubleshooting experience are essential. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are also required to ensure effective collaboration.

The Wiring Harness Technician contributes to the development of future Mack and Volvo Trucks by supporting the engineering team through hands-on modifications and repairs of wiring harnesses. By building prototype harnesses and collaborating on design implementations, the technician plays a crucial role in advancing the technology and functionality of our truck systems, ensuring they meet market demands and standards.
