Job Description

As a Project Controls Analyst, the candidate will be involved in several projects and project teams at the same time, at various stages of the projects’ lifecycle, from inception through close-out, varying in complexity and value.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures; maintains tracking database to ensure that funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures.
  • Review and advise on uncommitted balances.
  • Review and advise on contingency balances.
  • Review vendor invoices / applications for payment
  • Lead the change control process.
  • Project financial close-out
  • Evaluate productivity versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis.
  • Compares actual cost to funding limitations; prepares expenditure forecasts to identify critical points in project funding.
  • Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated cost trending / forecasting.
  • Review and update monthly project schedules.
  • Participates in and may lead project cost and schedule review meetings.
  • Assists in procedure development and implementation.
  • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with construction team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.       

Preferred Requirements:

  • NYC Agency experience
  • Working knowledge of industry software (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6, Revit) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work with technical and administrative personnel at different levels.
