Job Description

As a Security Officer - Industrial Site in Cockeysville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Front Desk Officer in a manufacturing and industrial setting, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Your role involves monitoring entry points, assisting visitors, and managing access control to help deter security-related incidents. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. While a guard card/license is preferred, your primary focus will be on maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors and staff.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Assist in managing security-related incidents and respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Facilitate communication and coordination during emergency response activities.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring compliance with entry protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any incidents that occur.
• Collaborate with management and other staff to address security concerns and improve procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possession of a valid guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
