About the Role

The main responsibility of the Payroll Coordinator is to assist the payroll administrator in ensuring that the bi-weekly pay is produced in an accurate and timely fashion.

What You'll Do Here

  • Assist the Payroll Administrator in the production and the processing of payroll.

  • Collect, verify, and process the information submitted by the human resources department (new hires, terminations, status changes, etc.)

  • Conduct follow-up with employees and supervisors for time sheets errors and approvals.

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll register with quick entries audit.

  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll reports.

  • Assist the payroll team with bi-weekly payroll issues related to taxes including resolving negative year-end data, correcting incorrect taxes, and refunding employee’s when applicable.

  • Research and resolve tax code fallouts with the applicable agencies.

  • Partner with OSV to address ongoing tax issues (i.e., over payments, penalties, interest)

  • Review and prepare company quarterlies (941s and state returns).

  • Assisting payroll with year-end tax form preparation.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Educational background in Payroll (degree, certification, etc.)

  • 2+ years of related experience in payroll coordination

  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve situations in a timely manner.

  • Must possess strong client services and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.

  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.

  • Workday payroll experience preferred.

  • Understanding of Payroll Accounting

What We Offer

The pay range estimated for this position is $46,109 - $61,478 (per hour rates or annually). Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
