Business Intelligence Engineer, Supply Chain Innovation

Amazon’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer for the Supply Chain Innovation (SCI) team. SCI plays an important role in defining and shaping Amazon’s inbound supply chain's long-term strategy. We are responsible for the incubation and execution of highly visible supply chain projects across low-cost storage, bulk fulfillment, inbound cross-docks, fast-deploy fulfillment, and network optimization. Our solutions address the needs of the inbound network in order to meet the speed, cost, and resiliency demands of our customers.

In this role, you will be leveraging various analytic and visualization techniques to support data-driven storytelling, and look around corners to continuously raise the bar on our business insights capabilities. You will collaborate across supply chain and research science teams to meet the current and future needs of the business through data gathering, automation, standardization, and reporting.
The ideal candidate is an individual with excellent analytical abilities and a creative mind to invent solutions in technical architecture, business process, and financial outcomes. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, who has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with large-scale data.

Deep dive into operations execution and business problems, use analytical and statistical rigor to identify trends and opportunities, and present written and verbal analyses to drive improvements
• Improve business results through creating best-in-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling
• Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data needs, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Develop an understanding of the broad range of Amazon’s data resources, which to use, how, and when
