The Senior Analyst, Global Quality & Oversight – PCG is part of the Payments Consulting Group (PCG) within the GMNS Global Strategies & Capabilities, which powers day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional merchant & partner experiences, whilst supporting GMNS in achieving its long term goals. The Payments Consulting Group’s mission is to deliver a simple, secure and seamless point-of-sale experience for all American Express customers.  We are a team of 130+ global colleagues who work directly with merchants and third-parties to unlock value and optimize usage of American Express products and capabilities at the point-of-sale. The Global Quality & Oversight team in PCG supports the development and management of control and compliance, improvement of point-of-sale experience, and capacity management/reporting. 

This newly created role of Senior Analyst, Global Quality & Oversight – PCG is an exciting opportunity to develop and drive PCG’s control and compliance program. The incumbent will be an integral part of a global team, focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Manager, Global Quality & Oversight in managing and remediating operational risk in PCG-owned processes
  • Support the development and management of a global Risk Management Framework within PCG, including remediation of Audit findings and/or uplifting Process Risk Self Assessments (PRSAs)
  • Produce documentation and materials in preparation for Audit review and/or to update relevant stakeholders and leaders
  • Perform quality assurance on documentation and maintenance of records of specific issuers, risk and controls to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Manage and maintain remediation tracking tools, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and required sign-offs
  • Collaborate with leads across global PCG to collect and document updates to PRSAs, SOPs and remediation efforts
  • Perform sample testing to ensure complete and effective remediation and control
  • Identify trends and support sharing insights to improve potential systemic risks and control weaknesses with BU processes

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
  • Experience and interest in operational risk management preferred.
  • Payments industry experience within Financial Services preferred.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners and regulators
  • Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills required.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze data, identify trends and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
  • Exceptional abilities to translate complex challenges into linkable tasks with senior level updates
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
