The Position
This position is responsible for directing the occupational health nursing program at the Hanford OMS clinic. You will provide oversight and management of clinical staff and operations in conjunction with the Site Occupational Medical Director (SOMD).
Responsibilities
· Directs the occupational health nursing program in coordination with the SOMD to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, DOE requirements, and AAAHC accreditation standards.
· Oversee the delivery of nursing occupational health services, including but not limited to addressing employee relations concerns, completing performance assessments and providing guidance and mentorship to nursing staff.
· Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the department.
· Participates in the recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation, training, and dismissal of nursing staff.
· Assists educational in-service training on various topics related to occupational health nursing, including worksite health and safety, clinical skills, and use of the electronic health record.
· Ensures all activities support the goals of delivering high quality care and services.
· Maintain accurate records and reports that meet all organizational and legal requirements.
· Stay updated on occupational health nursing best practices and relevant regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
· Ensure staff are adhering to and fostering acceptable health and safety practices.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/ Experience
· 5+ years of nursing supervisory experience
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or master’s degree in a relevant field (ARNP, MBA, MPH).
License/ Certifications
· Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
· Current, valid Washington state RN License
· Current basic cardiac life support (BLS) certification.
· Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

· Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
· The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
