Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tier 2 MSP Technician to join our technical support team. This role is critical in providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex IT issues, and contributing to ongoing managed service projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide second-level technical support for client infrastructure and systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network, server, and application-related issues
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians to escalate and resolve advanced technical problems
  • Participate in and contribute to MSP project implementations
  • Document technical solutions, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal knowledge bases
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical issues
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing sessions and continuous learning initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in managed service provider (MSP) environment
  • Proven experience with project-based technical implementations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CCNA)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration
  • Experience with network infrastructure management
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
  • Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python)
  • Remote monitoring and management (RMM) tool experience

Work Arrangement

  • Initial work arrangement: Daily in-office presence
  • After 6 months: Eligible for one work-from-home day per week
