ASHP is seeking a dedicated and experienced meeting professional with a proven track record in the area of convention planning and execution, coupled with strong marketing and communication skills. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of the Conference and Convention Division and through collaboration and effective project management, will promote and provide best-in-class meeting services, experience, and design, ensuring alignment with ASHP’s vision and goals. This position will play a key role in planning and execution of ASHP’s national meetings service areas, guiding the overall look and feel to promote consistency in branding, serve as the registration lead within the division, and develop and review internal and external division related meeting communications. Successful candidates will be initiative-taking, an effective communicator and collaborator, hands-on team player, and skilled at balancing both detailed and creative work. The ability to manage a workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential to this role. Domestic travel in the range of 4 to 6 times annually is required for this role.
This position will be based onsite in our Bethesda, MD office, and the employee in this role will be working in a hybrid environment, consistent with Association-wide ASHP policies applicable to HQ-based employees. At ASHP, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. The base salary for this position is $85,000-$95,000 and ASHP offers a comprehensive benefits plan. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Director of the Conference and Convention Division to orchestrate exceptional meeting experiences that align with ASHP’s vision. You’ll bring your creativity and strong communication skills to plan, design, and execute our national meetings. From developing signage and branding to managing the registration process, you'll ensure every detail reflects ASHP's high standards. You'll also be responsible for generating engaging communications and publications related to meetings, alongside supporting exhibition management and sponsorships. We're looking for someone with at least seven years of relevant experience, who is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The role requires domestic travel about 4 to 6 times a year and is based onsite in our Bethesda office, offering a hybrid work environment in line with our organizational policies.
