Sr. HR Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. HR Specialist to manage the employee life cycle, including onboarding, processing internal employee changes, and terminations through the HRIS system (Paycom). The ideal candidate will support company and department initiatives, improve HR administrative and procedural processes, and collaborate closely with the HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee life cycle through onboarding, processing internal employee changes, and terminations through the HRIS system (Paycom).
  • Create and maintain detailed reports supporting company and department initiatives.
  • Analyze, recommend, and develop HR administrative and procedural processes to improve efficiency.
  • Partner with the HR team in recruitment activities, including managing job posts, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, maintaining ongoing communications amongst candidates and hiring managers, arranging pre-employment screenings, and conducting new hire orientation.
  • Answer routine benefit questions, process qualifying events, and assist with annual open enrollment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee leave management processes.
  • Respond to unemployment requests.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to implement policies and procedures.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and serve as a liaison for employee relations.
  • Act as a backup to the Human Resources team as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of employee and customer confidentiality and compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Experience: 5 plus years’ experience required
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, Associate Degree or above in Human Resources or related field

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
