Job Description

WHAT WE DO IN UX Research – Product and Tech at AVIV

In concrete terms, your daily life as a UX Researcher consists of developing a deep understanding for our B2C users and their needs, gathering insights and communicating these effectively into the teams and the organisation. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated product teams to ensure the user’s voice is heard, and champion a culture of learning and listening throughout our company to enable user-centric product development.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN:

  • You plan and execute all phases of a research project, with a focus on qualitative and quantitative research with our users looking to sell or rent out real estate.
  • You select and conduct the right research method for foundational, strategic or tactical research questions.
  • You develop strategic frameworks to help foster a broad understanding of our users and keep those frameworks updated with new insights.
  • You help set up, maintain and continuously improve our instruments to measure UX KPIs.
  • You educate and support our product design colleagues in setting up their own research actions.
  • You manage a variety of stakeholders and foster understanding for the users and their needs, and support them in clarifying often ambiguous problem spaces.
  • You moderate internal workshops to gather existing knowledge or generate new ideas (e.g. Design Sprints).
  • You connect with the product teams and you build your influence to ensure that your insights are sustainable and incorporated into the product roadmap.
  • You adapt flexibly processes & methods as necessary to work with multiple cross-functional teams.
  • You connect the dots between existing data such as previous studies from both UX and market research, Analytics data or feedback gathered by our customer success teams with your own work.
  • You plan and conduct on-site surveys to enrich and quantify our qualitative insights.
  • You continuously challenge teams to consider the users’ needs.
  • You ensure effective and precise communication and distribution of insights to the product team as well as a wider range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS: 

  • You have several years of (either agency or corporate) experience working as a mixed-methods researcher, ideally in direct collaboration with UX/product designers, product managers and other stakeholders.
  • Being a native or proficient German speaker, you should be able to adeptly employ research techniques like user interviews and focus groups in German. Additionally, you should have the ability to thoroughly comprehend and analyze user feedback without losing any subtleties. You are also a fluent English speaker and feel comfortable conducting most of your daily work as well as planning research with stakeholders and communicating research results in English.
  • You are curious, always striving to understand, and feel comfortable asking questions and challenging assumptions.
  • You are deeply empathetic and collaboration-minded and have strong communication skills.
  • You feel comfortable in a complex, international environment, working with multiple stakeholders and supporting different research topics at the same time.
  • You are able to understand technical and business requirements and translate them into research questions.
  • You have experience developing customer journeys and are familiar with the jobs-to-be-done framework.
  • Experience working with marketplace platforms is a plus.
