Associate Athletic Director for Branding and Creative Services

What We're Looking For

Baylor Athletics is seeking a motivated, passionate, and service-oriented team player to become the Associate AD for Branding and Creative Services. This position will provide oversight and leadership for All-Sport Creative, Football Creative, BaylorVision, and Baylor+ teams, emphasizing fresh perspective, innovative ideas, and strategic vision. 

This position will develop and execute strategies to ensure collaboration and coordination among units to effectively drive revenue growth, brand consistency, and storytelling efforts across various mediums. 

A bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant work experience are required. A master’s degree, seven years of experience, and one year of supervisory experience of a full-time staff member are preferred. A combination of experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement. This position will report directly to the Senior Associate AD for Brand Engagement.

What You Will Do

All-Sport Creative

  • Provide strategic oversight for the All-Sport Creative team while serving as the main point of contact for creative requests to help serve sport programs and interdepartmental units. 
  • Collaborate with All-Sport Creative staff to ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials. 
  • Guide social media strategy and content development (video, photo, and graphic design) to elevate storytelling efforts for @BaylorAthletics, @BaylorMBB, and @BaylorWBB team accounts. 
  • Work with multimedia partner (Playfly Sports) to enhance revenue opportunities for digital content. 
  • Work closely with Athletic Communications staff to help promote student-athletes, coaches, and sport programs. 
  • Partner with Marketing and Fan Experience staff to deliver assets for fan engagement initiatives to drive attendance and promotional efforts. 
  • Oversee partnership with WSC Sports and lead Baylor Athletics content strategy for the platform. 
  • Oversee the Baylor Athletics YouTube channel and continue growing the platform in both engagement and subscriber rate. 
  • Shoot and edit select events (video and photo) as needed throughout the year, including travel for championships. 

BaylorVision

  • Provide strategic oversight for BaylorVision, including gameday broadcast teams, to ensure high-quality video board shows and best-in-class game broadcasts. 
  • Work with BaylorVision staff to foster positive relationships with current and future television partners and the Big 12 Conference staff to enhance Baylor’s brand within the industry. 
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Fan Experience team to elevate in-game video board entertainment and help enhance revenue and the in-game experience at home Baylor Athletics events. 
  • Oversee and perform regular maintenance on video servers to ensure the Branding and Creative Services team is set up for success and to maintain a strong archive database.
  • Serve as the liaison to the on-campus Film & Digital Media Department and as the General Manager of video students for best placement on Branding and Creative teams. 
  • Work with BaylorVision staff to maintain a database for all technology purchases.  

Football Creative

  • Provide strategic oversight for the Football Creative team, including guiding social media strategy and content development to elevate storytelling efforts for the @BUFootball team accounts. 
  • Partner with Baylor Football support staff to ensure internal and external requests are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
  • Lead the Football Creative team in providing cutting-edge content to help promote student-athletes, coaches, and the sport program on digital platforms. 
  • Partner with Marketing and Fan Experience and Football Creative team to develop departmental marketing campaigns that align with Athletics goals and strengthen the Baylor Football brand. 
  • Oversee all video production, graphic design, and photography distributed on video boards and social media. 
  • Travel and shoot video highlights for all road football games. 
  • Oversee and assist in the execution of content posting on @BUFootball social media accounts on football gamedays. 

Baylor+

  • Serve as a strategic partner with our Sport & Story team to enhance and grow the Baylor+ platform and subscribers.  
  • Work with Sport & Story and Athletics Communications teams to elevate our storytelling efforts by producing long-form content that resonates with our constituents. 
  • Work to educate coaching staffs and ensure comfortability in covering exclusive behind-the-scenes content. 
  • Partner with the Sport & Story team to produce high-quality documentaries, podcasts, film rooms, live shows, and more. 
  • Partner with the Sport & Story team to enhance marketing and promotional efforts on social media, e-mail, and in-venue at-home Baylor Athletics events. 

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Cultivate a strong team culture within area of oversight and consistent collaboration with other areas of Athletics and the University. 
  • Contribute to talent acquisition and retention across areas of oversight.  
  • Serve as a key External Affairs leadership team member, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues. Ensure key information and opportunities are shared with staff working within areas of oversight. 
  • Oversee the Branding and Creative Services operating budget. 
  • Report regularly to the Senior Associate AD for Brand Engagement to align social media and in-venue content strategies with departmental goals. 
  • Partner with University Marketing & Communications leadership to integrate Baylor Athletics into university-wide content and branding initiatives. 

Other

  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate AD for Brand Engagement.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission. 
  • Ability to comply with University policies. 
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
