We work with people at home, work, and in the community through residential, employment, crisis response, recovery, behavioral, children's services, and day services. Our corporate office in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring a Payroll Clerk responsible for keying employee data trackers, pulling reported work from time and attendance system, inputting new hires into payroll system, removing terminated employees from system, processing manual checks, maintaining payroll files and customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll function, including keying employee time sheets into payroll system, pulling reported work from time and attendance system into the payroll system, run payroll reports, run off-cycle payroll checks, stuff checks and mail checks.
  • Responsible for inputting new hires into payroll system.
  • Responsible for removing terminated employees from system.
  • Responsible for answering questions from employees.
  • Responsible for new hire reporting.
  • Responsible for PTO payouts.
  • Responsible for processing Employment Verification/Request of Earnings Forms.
  • Responsible for maintaining payroll files.
  • Responsible for backing up co-workers in department.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
  • Report to work as scheduled.

  • Flexibility to work overtime
  • Able to work independently and part of a team


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in accounting preferred
  • Experience in accounting preferred
