Inventory Specialist

Summary

The primary function of the Inventory Specialist II is to facilitate the process of supply chain product management through a system of perpetual inventory. This is accomplished through the resolution of inventory discrepancies and education of personnel resulting in improved inventory integrity.  This process is further enhanced with expanded systemic review and monitoring to ensure continuity of inventory processing.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/hour

Essential Job Functions 

  • Run, analyze, distribute and file required daily inventory reports
  • Monitor, review, and adjust warehouse inventory
  • Operate a radio frequency (RF) gun to scan merchandise as needed
  • Perform research and analysis related to misidentified or found inventory
  • Review and adjust discrepancies documented by the Inventory Cycle Counter
  • Perform backup responsibilities for the Inventory Cycle Counter to meet Cycle Count timelines as required by Inventory Control
  • Be an accurate and available resource to all operational departments for the Distribution Centers
  • Apply and communicate business process improvements and best practices
  • Product familiarity and identification


Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn
  • Competence in required areas of the SAP and WMS systems
  • Ability to perform independent research and analysis
  • Lift Operator certified (company provided training)
  • Ability to move and lift heavy objects (pass lift assessment)
  • High School diploma
  • One year of inventory or accounting related job function
  • Proficient computer skills
