The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Electrical Design and Analyst Engineer – F-15 Lab Infrastructure located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to translate system-level requirements into detailed circuit card specifications, including signal types (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553 (Mux), Fiber Optic, Discrete, Analog, Serial), power requirements, and interface definitions.
  • Research, select, and justify the selection of appropriate components, including FPGAs, microcontrollers, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), communication interfaces, and other necessary integrated circuits.
  • Create detailed schematics using Siemens Expedition
  • Perform circuit simulations (e.g., using SPICE or similar tools) to verify design performance, signal integrity, and power integrity before layout.
  • Perform PCB layout using Siemens Expedition
  • Develop, test, and debug firmware for embedded processors (e.g., microcontrollers, FPGAs)
  • Develop test and control software for circuit cards
  • Perform comprehensive testing and debugging of fabricated circuit cards, including functional testing, signal integrity verification, and power analysis. Utilize laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation, including design specifications, schematics, layout files, test procedures, and test reports
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and project managers
  • Interface with circuit card fabrication and assembly vendors to ensure designs are manufacturable and to address any production issues

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Education or work-related experience with a Bachelors (level 1)
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR work-related experience with a Masters (level 2)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Proficiency in python, C and C++
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Trouble shoot circuits
  • Experience with signal generators, digital multi-meters

Typical Education/ Experience:

Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:

Level 1: $66,300 - $89,700

Level 2: $79,900 - $108,100
